Here are the top 10 warmest places in Germany. They’re ranked by their annual daily mean temperature. Each city also includes temperatures in the coldest month (January) and in the warmest month (July).

1. Heidelberg – 13.95 °C

Heidelberg is the warmest city in Germany with the highest average temperature. Located in a protected valley between the Pfälzerwald and the Odenwald, Heidelberg has a subtropical climate with mild winters and hot summers. Because of its high temperatures, subtropical plants like almond trees, fig trees, palm trees, olive trees, and grape-bearing vines grow there. There’s even a wild population of African rose-ringed parakeets living there. Heidelberg is also one of the sunniest cities in Germany, getting 2,124 hours of sunshine a year.
